Public Notice

The Government of Gujarat has amended The Gujarat Medical Practitioners Act, 1963 by Notification dated 19th September 2025.
According to the said amendment, the term "Board" has been officially replaced with "Council" in the Act.

Henceforth, the regulatory authority shall be known as the
Gujarat Council of Ayurvedic & Unani Systems of Medicine.

All references to the former name, Gujarat Board of Ayurvedic & Unani Systems of Medicine, shall now be read and construed as referring to the Gujarat Council of Ayurvedic & Unani Systems of Medicine.

ગુજરાત સરકારશ્રીના તા.૧૯-૦૯-૨૦૨૫ ના રોજ પ્રસિદ્ધ કરવામાં આવેલ છે. હવે પછી "ગુજરાત બોર્ડ ઓફ આયુર્વેદિક એન્ડ યુનાની સિસ્ટમ્સ ઓફ મેડીસીન" ના બદલે નવું નામ "ગુજરાત કાઉન્સિલ ઓફ આયુર્વેદિક એન્ડ યુનાની સિસ્ટમ્સ ઓફ મેડીસીન" તરીકે બદલાયેલ છે.
